Hi there, greetings: I am not a doctor or a nurse, I am just one ordinary woman experiencing menopause. Maybe my experience will help you cope with your “change of life”. I am navigating through this new experience the best I can. I found keeping a notebook system to record what happens on a daily basis is helping me cope. Consulting with your physician or specialist during this time is also recommended.

One of these days if you are a woman between 30 and 60 you will enter the Menopause phase of your life.

It is common knowledge that teenagers sometimes follow the same pattern with menstruation that their mothers did. If your mother is living, you may want to ask her some questions about her onset of menopause. Ask a relative if you desire if your mother is not living. You may follow her pattern somewhat. Most women I talk with tell me the most common age of Menopause is between age 51 and 53. A couple of women I have met began menopause at age 33 and age 41.

As for me, my Mother is deceased so I am tackling surviving Menopause in a different way. I like to keep records of all kinds of stuff so I developed an idea to keep track of menopause happenings in my life by making notations on calendars. By recording all my symptoms on a calendar, I can cross reference month-to-month what is going on and when. Yes, it will take a good six to 12 months when you start to get the strategy on track. Record one day or a week’s worth of calendar days. Your research will be an invaluable tool for you to feel normal or accept your abnormal days.

When you are ready to start, just purchase 3, 1-inch 3 ring binders. Obtain one year’s worth of calendar pages. Copy them so you now have 3 sets, one for each binder.Or buy a planner instead and use it exclusively for your menopause recordings.

One put on your night stand, one to car, one to kitchen desk. Begin by recording any thing unusual on the calendar page that you notice. Seeking medical attention is advised also if you develop a serious condition.

Welcome. I Hope we can all learn from each other.
