Achyness-Feet & Fingers
08/17/2007
Have you been experiencing achyness even when you don’t over exert yourself?
This uncomfortable sensation has been happening to me now that I have started menopause. Not all the time, just occasionally, I will wake up and my fingers will be ache or my ankles will ache. My feet ache somedays near the toe and ball of foot. I soak my feet in a Foot Massage Spa using warm water for 10 minutes or more. My feet feel so so wonderful after soaking them. Also doing nothing but soaking your feet is a great relaxer too.
It is so easy to neglect your feet so try this simple method when watching television, or reading the newspaper or eating a meal. What I do to relieve my finger pain is exercise my fingers. I move them up and down and in and out for 5 minutes on each hand. Then I use do some stretches to stretch out my back and my legs and ankles. Make sure you have good footwear too.
I use my treadmill when I get up in the morning and this helps to relax my body before my day. I use the Treadmill in the evening if I have had a tiring day also.
Avon and Dr. Scholls makes a tremendous Foot Softening Balm
and Cooling Peppermint Foot Lotion
that I alternate with, and sometimes I alternate and just soak my feet without any scrubs, just plain warm water. It feels so good when you put the lotion and balm on your feet! Try and soak your feet a couple of times a week, like I said while eating supper or reading or watching TV. You will notice a dramatic difference in how you feel.
