Has your doctor ever recommended you see an anxiety specialist…well, you may be able to help your self by making a list of all the stress in your life. – See a doctor if you prefer, it’s up to you.
Lots of quirky things are caused by stress – big time, you wouldn’t of imagined all the wierd symptoms you can get from stress that builds unconsciously.
Notify yourself that these are the stresses in your life and you want to start breaking it into little pieces that will go away, not right away, could take a few weeks, just have the mind set that you know your symptoms now and you have a plan.
One way I relax is to exercise, clean the kitchen then sit and watch 2 movies one on top of the other on a day off. Every day is spent looking for a job, so that is a big stress right there. Money is a big stress, self esteem issues with out a job/money can be overwhelming. Spending habits of family vs
friends, you know the drill.
Medicines are good if really needed but sometimes you can take care of symptoms yourself, by making a list of the stress stuff in your life so you can see it, and try to help the symptoms by correcting a life style, having a talk with a parent, child, or spouse, communication is very very soothing. Zero in on the stresses, you may not know you have them, but if you are reading this you
probably have found a minor way to deal with frustrations but the stress is building at the same time.
May I suggest drinking at least 2 glasses of water a day, up to 4 glasses and 15min. to 1 hour of exercise, this really helps.
Well, just do some reading, may I suggest, What your Doctor May Not Tell you about Menopause, by John R. Lee MD and Virginia Hopkins. This book reviews anxiety in it as a symptom of menopause.
Obtain a referral to a Behavioral Specialist if you prefer to talk to a professional.
Control your own destiny, especially in menopause.
