Yes, that’s right ladies, I tried it the other day, had some depressing thoughts going on, my children are grown and one is moving out soon, and I just couldn’t snap out of feeling bad for myself. Although, I really am quite lucky to have raised my children to be on their own, but you get sad sometimes.

So, I just knew I had to do something, and it was so nice outside, that I grabbed my book “The Notebook” by Nick Sparks and my quilt and pillows and lay down in my yard facing the sun.

The time flew by and an hour went by and I went in to watch a dvd. This sunshine not only made me feel great, but now I know to use it every day possible. I walk between 6 and 8 a.m. to get me day started, and absorb the sunshine. By walking this early, before breakfast, it just gets you to do it before getting involved with something else.

I wear my favorite sneakers, that cost alot, but I have had them a year and they are the Air sneakers by Nike.

I wear cotton socks in them to absorb sweat and I walk and jog, jog for 100 steps to get my heart racing then back to walking. I want to keep doing it so I don’t over do it with too much exercise or it would be hard to get motivated to go out again.

So, catch some sunshine directly on your skin to improve your calcium absorption and on your face to brighten your day. Wear sun screen if you desire.

We don’t have a lot of stuff for free these days, so take advantage of a walk. Even if the sun is not shining, the fresh air does us good too!
