			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I rotate between tread mill and weights and exercise tapes and 3 lb weights.  Well, the exercise tapes were getting boring, so I muted the</p>
<p>big screen today and played my own music.  Yes, any fast music I have, I rotated it every 15 minutes on the kitchen timer.</p>
<p>At times I ran around my coffee table and jogged in place, but I was having fun, using the exercise video to keep me honest and my own music with a nice fast beat to dance with.</p>
<p>The 2/15 minute sessions flew by.</p>
<p>I want to want to exercise, so I&#8217;m keeping it short and sweet.</p>
<p>How bout that create your own dance video by muting your dvd and blaring your own tunes!  Feel young, and healthy and fit in 20 min!</p>
<p>Get to it and have fun!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Leslie Sansone’s, book called “Eat Smart,Walk Strong” has some very great dieting tips.  One I will share with you is drink 8 glasses of water a day.  Water can be, water with lemon, or tea or herb tea or skim milk.  Don’t let your snacking get out of hand, develop habits to avoid,by drinking tea in the water category and make sure to exercise or walk daily.</p>
<p>Leslie does this review in a very down to earth manner!  I’m sure glad I can count on her book to not lecture me but talk to me about my bad eating habit.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Okay, the gym was a very very good experience!  I met some friendly people on the last day.</p>
<p>Overall, jumping in my car at 7:30 a.m. to go to the gym for an hour or more in the freezing cold, was an eye opener to me for sure!  I did it, and now I am happy to have this kind of structure  and exercise in my life.</p>
<p>Before I left today, I chatted with some people who had memberships from 5 and 6 years ago.  They told me that I needed to do repetitions of 12 things and rest a minute, then 12, rest, then 12.  I didn’t know that I said.  They said back 5 or 6 years ago, free trainers helped you till you got settled.</p>
<p>My only comment to this blog about this GYM, is if they have a lead, like me, on a free membership, then why don’t they enhance my knowledge with the machinery and teach me how to use it more thoroughly.  That way I won’t want to leave.</p>
<p>But, that didn’t happen, and so I will make do at home with my exercise tapes, my treadmill, my leg and arm extensions.  On my wish list I must put in for a hip abductor.</p>
<p>Keep moving and doing weights.  It really boosts  your energy, self esteem and helps your muscles and bones, take it from a person who never ever went to a gym before, and now wants to fit exercise into her lifestyle for good!</p>

<p>Except for the lack of  personal trainer to get me interested, I have been very satisfied.</p>
<p>The cost is $25.00 a month.  That’s less than $1.00 a day to have full access to a well equipped gym.  It is not squishy and the members seem happy and have helped me if I don’t require high maintenance.</p>
<p>I went to an open house today to check out another facility.  This one has a pool.  It is over double the price to attend and the equipment room was 1/3 the size as this current facility.  They advertised a free week, but guess what, it was only if you signed up.  How lame is that?  Deceptive advertising wasted my time.</p>
<p>It is my  understanding that local hotels will offer pool memberships.  So, don’t give up, if you really want to swim, check out all your options.  Maybe go to a cheaper gym or do exercise in your home or walk or bike ride and then join a hotel for their hot tub and heated pool.</p>

<p>I get up, go to the gym then eat breakfast.  But next week, I will get up, exercise at home with my power walking and Richard Simmons and my dance music and my tread mill and my arm pulls and leg pulls on my own at home!</p>
<p>Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away the Pounds was highly recommended to me by a woman who lost 55 pounds.  She does one of these dvd series every morning before going to work or going out for the day.  I liked the Walk Away the Pounds dvd alot.    The setting is relaxing and casual, and “Leslie” talks to you like a friend and gives you choices.</p>
<p>If you desire, mute this, and put on your  own music and then you can enjoy yourself even more.  Or, keep to the program and enjoy Leslie Sansone’s “Walk Away the Pounds-Power Mile” as is.  Keep moving ladies!</p>

<p>Breakfast after Gym:  Hard boiled egg and coffee with vanilla bean cream.  The egg appears to be lasting longer than the bagel and cereal.</p>
<p>I am planning a long drive on Friday to see some friends.  Normally I would skip the event, but all this exercise has helped my inner self with confidence to attempt the long drive and not bail out.  I didn’t think my health would be influenced so positively.  It is wonderful.</p>

<p>I was interested in learning about a gym and my daughter had 2 free passes.</p>
<p>I went today and participated on the following: treadmill, leg adductor, pull down, leg extension and a class.</p>
<p>The class was for beginners and  a very  nice  slow speed, but it did the trick to loosen us up and get us moving.</p>
<p>When I got home I was so excited about going to a gym that it motivated me to get out one of my own exercise tapes, from back in the day of 1993.</p>
<p>Yes, you guessed it Richard Simmons with “Sweatin to the Oldies Two.”  It was so much fun to dance/exercise with his group.   If you like dancing to  ”Jailhouse Rock and “My Boyfriend’s Back and “Summer in the City” and more, then  you could also help your weight loss cause by putting on an exercise tape in your own living room. The 45 minutes seemed like ten minutes.</p>
<p>Anyways, my experience with the gym was fun and I still have eleven free days to go.</p>
