Do you ever experience eye glare when driving?

“The Menopause Book” by Pat Wingert and Barbara Kantrowitz, points out something to try. When driving and you experience eye glare from headlights from oncoming traffic, look down a little and to the right a little without taking your eyes off the road. This technique could minimize the eye glare. They suggest having a pillow to sit on also, so you are sitting up enough. I drive with a pillow, but may add another one on top if it now that I know this is proven technique. This book is excellent and down to earth. They suggest going for a vision test yearly, you may or may not have to get new glasses. They have tips for contact wearers check them out in this great book.

Chocolate is useful in Menopause, too. Semisweet and dark they explain is best, but you can read for yourself in their book. I highly recommend this publication. It is down to earth and easy to follow. It has a question and answer format.

Leslie Sansone’s, book called “Eat Smart,Walk Strong” has some very great dieting tips. One I will share with you is drink 8 glasses of water a day. Water can be, water with lemon, or tea or herb tea or skim milk. Don’t let your snacking get out of hand, develop habits to avoid,by drinking tea in the water category and make sure to exercise or walk daily.

Leslie does this review in a very down to earth manner! I’m sure glad I can count on her book to not lecture me but talk to me about my bad eating habit.

The sweet taste of an orange or two and coffee don’t seem to be making my menopause any easier.

Try some different kinds of fruit, and some decaf coffee if you are getting jittery. Menopause jitteryness on a higher level than when you use to just drink coffee.

They say tea has more caffeine than coffee, but I always seem to relax more with tea.

Hot cocoa seems to help me relax too. Many different brands to try out there, even some with marshmallows, sip on a not so sugary drink and see what works for you.

Find some different fruits to eat, like blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, bananas, they can help give you the energy you need too.

Look for drinks low in sugar and caffeine they will help you relax more during the day.
