Recently I finally dragged myself to the doctor for a question on a sinus problem I could not shake. I was hoping to get an antibiotic so my nose would run and run and run and I would be free of my chronic sinus blockage.

My regular doctor wasn’t in and a replacement doc was there instead.

To my amazement this new doctor suggested an over the counter sinus rinse, that is wonderful. It’s not just nose drops that you spray and hope for the best, it a nose spray thingy that is safe and works instantly. WOW, I am so pleased with the results and the cheapness and ease of the remedy

I got it at the pharmacy it is called, NeilMed Sinus Rinse. This comes with a squeeze bottle and pre-made packets. I reluctantly got it ready and used it. May I say that with in 5 minutes after using it, I was free of my symptoms. My horrible symptoms that lingered for months and continued to get worse. It’s been five days, and I still feel wonderful. My nose runs here and there and I feel so alive and perky again!!

I haven’t felt this energized or free of sinus pressure in many many years. I was beginning to think that I was just a person who had to live with a heavy head, sinus pressure and an unbalanced feeling. After all it could be worse…

If you feel unbalanced, maybe it could be your sinuses, could be other things too. Check with your doctor and find out about this remedy.

My husband is going to try it also. I am such a pill when it comes to stuffyness and it worked for me so he’s going to try it too.

Feel like your old self again in minutes. Compare prices on line. This kit is under $20.00. I hope you feel better soon! Check with your doctor before using any new remedys.

Marrying George Clooney, Confessions from a Midlife Crisis, by Amy Ferris is hysterical.

The way she wrote it is oh so true.

Lately, I have been second guessing practically all my decisions for the last 30 years. She reveiws this crisis mode too in a way that you have to relate to, and made me laugh.

Really, I have been doubting all kinds of choices, that really can’t be switched now. Maybe modified but life has happened for the last 50 years, 30 that have influenced my decisions.

I think menopause does make you reflect on decisions, but can have a bearing on your mindset for future decisions, but all the same, the doubting and the sometimes depression, that you don’t really realize you have causes more doubting.

So, this book was great to reflect and laugh with. Now I know I am not the only one reflecting on the last 50 (30 years that I personally had impact on.)

Yeah, this makes me feel a lot better, I’m not alone and that’s life, no regrets…have wonderful life ladies…

Once we hit menopause everything goes wacky and our mouth is no exception.

I stress to you to floss your teeth daily or at least twice a week. You will help to save your teeth.

The placque is eating away at them.

Do you ever get to your dentist early? Do you ever see the staff flossing their teeth in their operatory while waiting for your arrival? Well I have! They are in this profession and they floss their teeth at least 2 or 3 times a day. So get with the program and buy some floss right now!

Teach your children and friends these benefits. You don’t have to have teeth mobility and inflammation. Begin today and if your gums bleed, that’s okay. Make a mess. Rinse with salt warm water and then rinse with a mouth antiseptic. Listerine comes to mind but I’m sure there are others.

Buy a mouth irriagator. They have them at department stores. They squirt water around your mouth to loosen debri that the brush missed.

Especially if you have crowns this is an awesome investment.

www.chochrane.org can give you tips on teeth stuff on this site.

Have a great day.

Just when you think you have your menopause under control, you’ve done the journals, you know your “cycle” of symptoms, and bam!!! You get the jitteries, and a mild headache.

I am excited to start a new job today and so I think maybe the excitement of this has made my menopause go wacky. It’s a beautiful part time job with such sweet people, I have nothing to fear, but my jitteryness and low concentration and mild head ache I guess want to rule my body today.

I made myself a cup of peppermint tea and I’m telling myself to relax, so in a bit I’ll be all better.

I guess the excitement of all this has just caused a little havoc today.

Herbal teas have a relaxing and soothing effect on us, try different ones. Licorice and peppermint are known to help you relax, but create your own relaxing one, mix it up a little.

Knowing that you are not alone when this stuff strikes is a comfort, so go with the flow and just ignore your symptoms, maybe talk a little less, as the hormone levels do their things, sometimes I feel like I will stutter or forget a thought when all this starts, so that makes it all a little worse. So
drink some tea and put yourself in relax mode.

Have a nice day.

Yes, that’s right ladies, I tried it the other day, had some depressing thoughts going on, my children are grown and one is moving out soon, and I just couldn’t snap out of feeling bad for myself. Although, I really am quite lucky to have raised my children to be on their own, but you get sad sometimes.

So, I just knew I had to do something, and it was so nice outside, that I grabbed my book “The Notebook” by Nick Sparks and my quilt and pillows and lay down in my yard facing the sun.

The time flew by and an hour went by and I went in to watch a dvd. This sunshine not only made me feel great, but now I know to use it every day possible. I walk between 6 and 8 a.m. to get me day started, and absorb the sunshine. By walking this early, before breakfast, it just gets you to do it before getting involved with something else.

I wear my favorite sneakers, that cost alot, but I have had them a year and they are the Air sneakers by Nike.

I wear cotton socks in them to absorb sweat and I walk and jog, jog for 100 steps to get my heart racing then back to walking. I want to keep doing it so I don’t over do it with too much exercise or it would be hard to get motivated to go out again.

So, catch some sunshine directly on your skin to improve your calcium absorption and on your face to brighten your day. Wear sun screen if you desire.

We don’t have a lot of stuff for free these days, so take advantage of a walk. Even if the sun is not shining, the fresh air does us good too!

Depression in Menopause is probably the norm.

If you are wicked busy, then you could get depressed and overwhelmed.

If you are under busy, the same will probably happen.

First, exercise, walk around the block for 30 minutes, listen to your favorite tunes or the news, or your own heart beating, next see advice below if this doesn’t help.

Talk to your spouse about what is going on and see if spouse can offer support and ideas.

Next talk with friends and family for ideas.

Next join something.

A book club, a bike riding place. See if your area needs volunteers at the dog pound or reading to the elderly or at a special needs place or girl or boy scouts. You need to be busy. Don’t overload or you will not conquer the depression but add to it.

Take up reading even if you don’t like to read, it takes you away to another land and absorbs your poor health feelings. Get some joke books too.

In menopause this is a natural feeling due to body changes and hormone levels. But you can control your own destiny. It may take several months, but try to get more busy and more active. You have to exercise with weights and walks to keep strong.

You are not alone, it is happening to most menopausal women, so take charge of your life immediately. Good Luck!

Being busy you will know more people and feel happier too. Really.
