Recently I started studying for a math and reading test.

The reading test is comprehension and you need to think a bunch, but the Mathematics, going back decades and decades and decades etc. to the high school years, really empowers you to think, think think. Get your rusty noggin working again.

So, as I read through some text books to re-learn percentages, decimals, fractions, graphs and then the really hard stuff, you know what? My symptoms disappear! So, ladies, get to your college bookstore or your local book store and start doing math. Make yourself think, do 30 minutes or more and then do something else like read a chapter of your new romance novel.

My husband does sudoko and crosswork puzzles, I never cared for this stuff, so now by accident I find something that works for me.

Use your noggin ladies, and keep using it. Exercise your mind with math and your body on your tread mill, even thirty minutes a day for each group, but do it soon, and you will feel empowered and engaged in your life, and help treat your imbalance.

I went to the doctor because I had the unbalanced feeling. I really wanted to know if she thought it was menopause symptoms.
She told me that hot flashes was the symptom, so my unbalanced must be my ears and nose being blocked. She gave me an over the counter allergy medicine to try.
So, what was my next move? Reference Dr. Lee’s book on “What Doctor’sdon’t tell you about Menopause”. I read it again, and bookmarked my favorite sections. It’s clear to me that most doctors just want your business over and over again. Don’t feel like a person with a lot of symptoms that can’t be fixed, read this great book and know you are not alone with crazy unbalance or concentration issues. Sip some of your favorite tea and relax and use your tread mill for ten minutes, then do your weight lifting for ten minutes and drink lots of water. Really, we are all going through this.

Yes ladies, you have entered menopause.

Track your symptoms.

Track your diet.

Track your exercise.

Track your sunshine.

Do this for six months.

You will see by doing this exercise that you seem to feel more hyper and more concentrationless during certain weeks of the month.

I am telling you this because I am the perfect menopausal example and I’m wicked hyper today and wicked no concentration.

For instance, I made a list, checked it twice, did a ton of errands, was even at two grocery stores to check prices and return bottles and forgot to drop off my film.

Where’s my head? I even had the list with me.

But to reiterate a concentration tip I believe I learned in “Readers Digest” is to repeat three things during your day and you won’t forget those.

But, I just assumed I’d remember the film, so I should of made it four things. Don’t get carried away though, four should be your limit for awhile or you will drive yourself crazy.

I’m off to get my dose of sunshine, it really helps you feel great, yesterday it helped my depression, today it will help me feel good.

Don’t fret, oh my goodness, it’s just a silly symptom. It could last a week though,my stuff like this is usually the first week of the month and then it disappears as fast as it came.

I will sip on camomile tea today, yesterday was peppermint tea. I’ll do some housework and then catch another favorite dvd while I wind down.

Next week when working, I’ll be fine, and if it occurs when I am working, I’ll just have to tell myself it is happening and not to fret. I must remember not to drink coffee when it is this week. You are not alone, so just relax and enjoy your new phase in life, don’t you think you are wiser too? I think I am wiser and more care free, so it’s not bad.

The book “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” is great, try and get it at your local library or order it on line.
It’s even small so you won’t get bored with it.

See ya.
