My husband did a ton of research and we purchased a Breville Juicer 4 days ago. It was $99.00.

I have felt wonderful for the last week with incorporating salad greens of all the right vitamin mix without the vitamins, remember the research I did on what foods have what vitamins? Then we added the vegies that my husband put in the juicer. These can go in whole, but do your clean up right away of it will be a mess to clean up. There were other versions of this juicer that appear to make clean up easier, but we didn’t want our investment to be too high in case we didn’t like the results soon into our project.

Anyways, my husband started looking up recipes on line for different juicer “cocktails”. So, we began each having one four ounce juiced drink with breakfast, lunch and supper. (Different styles through out the day is what we tried.) Yesterday, we started having eight ounce juicer drinks, all mixed vegies juiced with breakfast, lunch and supper. Well, last night I felt nausea coming on. I’m thinking I over did it with the juicer and the daily meals. I guess if having an eight ounce juicer drink, think of all the vegies you consume, so have a tiny tiny supper. I had 2 medium size fish portions and extra vegies, then the juiced drink. Now, even the next morning I feel sick. I know it was just me eating way too much. So, I learned my lesson. If you want to fix your diet, remember everything in moderation!

So, I am still happy with the results of the juicer idea instead of vitamins, but a word to the wise….always size up portion control before the first bite. I know need to “go back to the drawing board” and reorganize my juicing strategy so I don’t feel sick afterwards.

I have the exercising down, the great salads and juicer drinks, now I just need to really concentrate on portion control and I will be doing well.

It has been hard to find a juicer cookbook with how many grams of this and that equal this and that, so I think we over did it with all the vegies.

When I figure this stuff out, I’ll write it down so we all have a record.

Don’t do what I did, over consume, I need to find some will power still, but I’m getting there.

Instead of taking vitamins to help with my menopause, I am going to try and eat right for one to two months and see if I feel alot better.

I got the book “The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth” by Jonny Bowden and we are thinking about getting a juicer to juice fruits and vegetables.

We began eating healthier this week with all kinds of vegies that we never even heard of before.

The author explains the 150 best foods on earth then red stars the really really healthy ones.

For instance, onions can help build strong bones. He also claims that coconut is a super food. That’s from the coconut fruit itself.

You won’t be disappointed if you get a copy of this book.

Juicers are not blenders so don’t be confused. The cheapest juicer we found was $300.00 that appears to be a very good one. But they go up in price past $9,000.00. So, if you want to eat healthy and not take vitamins anymore, get your vitamins from foods. Maybe plant a garden and eat fresh vegetables or juice them.

My menopause symptoms were really bad last week, so a trip to the bookstore made these symptoms more tolerable. Look at your options!!
